Hi

Have a look at sunwateronline.com.au as a guest, heaps of info on most dams there. Last time I looked Moogerah was at 8 percent and has risen several metres.

Hope this helps

I believe it is still flowing into the dam, which great news.
I think the last time we had good flow into the dam the yellowbelly started spawning. It will be interesting to see if it happens again. :)
I was always under the impression that yellowbelly spawn in spring. ???

Hi Guys,
Last time I looked Moogerah was at 8% & rising. Alot of those storms last week must have gone almost straight over Moogerah & Maroon. Still need alot more tho!

On the yellas. The trigger to spawn is usually flood related but is generally in the warmer months. THey may well spawn in the smaller lakes, but the eggs have got no chance of survival. They need to be in highly oxygenated water for around 72 hours. This usually means being in flood waters for 3 days. That would need about 60 km of catchment water to give them any chance.
I know there was one successful spawn in Somerset several years ago, but that's a very very rare occurance in a dam.

C'mon Huey, send her down some more!!! Please??!!

Cheers,

Fitzy..

A good friend of mine drove down from Boonah yesterday Tuesday and only 4 wheel drive cars were getting in and out for a while.
Tonight he said Maroon had risen about another metre. And very dirty .

Moogerah seemes to have missed as much as Maroon got.

Moogy will be dirty for a long while.
Maroon will clean up quicker.
