First post and I am looking for some help if pos.

I have just taken up bream fishing here in the west (nov. last year) and want to do some dam fishing for trout and refin.

there is a comp comeing up in about 2 months and I have never fished a dam for these fish.

If anyone has any tips on lures or sp's or tech. it would be greatly appreciated. :)

Was going to try some mepps spinner lures, halco 35 sneakie scorps and some minnow and eyeball drop shots sp's.

I don't know if this is the right way to go? ???

Dont know about WA but over here a lot of people use a jiggin technique for redfin.They use a jig called a Baltic bobber.
Redfin will take lots of different lures from celtas to large lures being trolled for cod or yellas.Have often found the reason a lure stops workin is because a little redfin has tried to eat it.Hope this is of some help
