Anyone had any spectacular, out of the ordinary catches recently? Any advice or tips for fishing around Brisbane? Someone has to be catching something good..

Cheers, dogga2

my mates dam is circular and i probably about 50 metres in diameter. his grandfather stocked it years ago and some of the silvers in there a truly massive now. they eat crayfish and gambusia and i guess some of the bigger ones must eat small spangeled perch, as he has tiny ones in there. me and my mates go down there on weekends and go camping and fishin', its a heap of fun...........

As far as i know he only had gambusia in the dam, and spangled perch washed in in the floods. the fingerlings went in at around 2 cms and i think they cost around 11 cents each.
