Haven't heard a lobby called a lobby for years. As a kid in Brisbane we called them that but in my NSW travels over the years I have heard them called crawbobs, craybobs, crawfish & yabbies - but never lobbys.

Anyway - I have always just boiled them in salty water & eaten them like prawns. But if they are big enough you can slice them down the middle and do them on the barby in a garlic butter.

I do boil them but for how long after they turn red ? I have been told anywhere between 2 and 15 minutes ?

The previous owner put some in the dam ,they breed like wild fire .
My two kids can catch over 50 in an hour using cotton and a bit of meat.
