Transferring fish ???

Is it standard practice ( legal & safe ) to catch fish in a local lake / pond / dam in Queensland and transfer them for live release into a stocked impoundment in Queensland ?

Are there any environmental protocols that should be followed ?

Even moving full size fish. May be some help here.
