Just curious as to why stocking groups stock yellowbelly anywhere and stock bass in a select few
dams.
Why can't they throw a few in Coolmunda? :(

They should not be stocking yellow belly east of the Great Divide, dunno about Bass.

Bass cannot be stocked into Murray/Darling catchment.

While golden Perch are not endemic to most East coast rivers, they are permitted to be stocked into some as part of the recreational Fisheries Enhancenent Program.

You can get invovled with your local fish stocking group & learn alot more info about out native fish & the stocking program overall.
