hey all
Going up to Awoonga Dam and i was just wondering if anyone has any advice they would like to share about catching barra up there and how to catch them in Awoonga Dam. ;D

mate, silver and gold were the flavour when i was there last. Did well on predetek vipers deeper divers at that stage. Also did well on pink jaysee patriot lures, but don't think you'll find them anywhere, i know i can't.

ask the Ranger/kiosk when you get there.

Check the tackle store in Gladstone.

At this time of year look for warmer water, probably shallow, on the downwind side (the side the wind is blowing to)

I agree with rick. Tough fishing when the water is cold. Follow the wind to the warmest water.
