lax quarantine laws threaten our natives

got given a paper(The Weekly Times dated wed 21 june) today by a friend and there is an article about them letting aquarium fish into AUS without even checking them, and they are only tested if the consignment owner was willing to pay for the tests, also cod have died as have trout from deseases from tropical fish imported

;)gday caveman , a few years ago aweird fish was found at our local creek ( dead ) which was good and they said it was an aquarium fish that had been let go or abird had carried it from some where, it just goes to show how easy it is to have introduced species stuff the waterways so quickly. cheers bdowdy ;)
