Mellon cr. The creek you cross when you first come off the highway into Coochen Cr direction. I'd love to get a canoe down where it gets deep and straight, but so many problems to do so. I know upstream does ok in summer, so I Imagine downsream (of the old wooden bridge) must have a decent go in winter. As I imagine it emptis into coochen cr. with a very brackish/salt content at that point; about 3 miles downstream. It's all flat throguh there, and although it's more fresh than brackish to taste, it's still tidal.

First time I clambered along that creek bank for miles downstream and walked right into a huge crop of dope. I left the place alone for a year or so after that, but am just wondering if I ought to go back and have a try.

Anyone done this? What kind of success did you have if so?

thanks
