When I can get them, I just put them in a bucket with lid and put a battery powered airator in it. No problem for a couple of days.

But where do you get the shrimp??

I have an old 2 litre drink cooler/esky that I keep them in, stops them getting hot, aerator line goes in through the drink flap, and clasps onto the handle.

Hi NormC I get them down the river at Colleges Crossing which is only ten minutes from home. Hi Feral so I take it the shrimp dont like it if the water gets to hot is that correct?

Yeah, they drop dead pretty quick if the water gets warm.

put a little ice in the water ,,it quietens them right down and stops them from going soft
