Can anyone tell me where's the best place to put a kayak in at Ewen Maddock and what time they open/close the gates. Thinking of heading up there tomorrow

Cheers

Ben

Let us know how you go Ben. I'd be interested in a yak fish up there in the future.

Sorry lads not much to report.

Launched behind the BMX track about 9am and fished the bays on the opposite shore.

Tried TN60 and spinnerbait fished through and over the weedbeds for nary a touch the whole time. Pulled the pin at lunchtime. Drove home thinking of excuses ;D

It's a beautiful spot though, the water is clean and clear, no litter anywhere, certainly LOOKS fishy

So the elusive first bass remains elusive... next time I'll try to go down for dawn or dusk. I think the times on the gates were 6am-7pm.

Have to love it
