Redclaw in North Pine Dam

Gidday all,

I was thinking of trying to catch some redclaw, a few for the pot and maybe add a couple to my (empty) fish tank. Is it too early to target them yet? I have only fished for them once (a few years back), and I recall that the weather was pretty warm at the time.

I have four of those "opera house" traps, which did the job before. Can any kind person give me a few clues? Bait? Spots? Time? Last time I went there just before dark and had to leave the car at the road to avoid being locked in.
