A few of you may realise that Raef Puddifoot is visiting us from Japan and he looks after a few of us Aushfish members with Japanese fishing gear. I am taking Raef fishing at Somerset Dam early next week and hoping to line him up with a few Australian Bass. Has anyone got any recent reports of where to fish the dam, it has been a few months since I have ventured that way. I will probably launch at the spit.

cheers

Hi Ray. I was up there a couple of weeks ago but stayed up near Kirkleigh (real close). The bass were hot on lures after the sun came up. Boomerang Predatek (yellow tiger) stood out from the rest. Sometimes yellow's beat them to the lures. Not photo fish but around 1.3 kg's. The mate and I were happy with the results. We trolled with a 40hp two stroke so it might give you an idea of the knots we were doing. I'll wait on a report of your trip.
