As a Christmas gift, I recieved an Alvey 500BC reel. I would like recommendations on how to build a rod for this reel. I plan to use a 9 to 10' 2 piece blank. I would like to know the type of action to use: slow, fast; the length of the butt, say from the bottom of the butt cap to the center of the reel seat; the length of the foregrip, how far from the center of the reel seat to the first guide, the size of the first guide, etc. Thanks, Bummy
