I've seen them around for years but never used one. I thought that they could be useful to use on your baitcster rod when you need to use ultra light lures. Better than forking out for a whole new threadline outfit to go for bream, as is the rage.

I looked inside and see there are two pins that pick up the line, and they turned around like a line roller on threadline.

I don't think you can use ultra light line as the pins would have a problem with it. 4 kilo maybe?

Does anyone have info, what are they like to fish with.
thanks Andrew.

Andrew, my favorite spincast (closed face) reel is the Daiwa Gold Cast. It's available in three sizes here in the states ( I chose the largest-GC 120), and I've had mine spooled up with 6, 10, and 12 pound test lines at various times. With 6 pound it casts like a dream and had absolutely no problems with line pick up or twist. I don't see why it wouldn't work equally as well with 4 pound test. However, braids wont work on them. Check it out.
