TDX103hva and g loomis 644 for small stuff and CVZ253 with a strudwick 10-12kg both reel are daiwa and for more info 20lb whiplash on the first and 30lb penn braid on the other. I will be interested to see what everyone else likes and uses.

i would have to go mcginn 4kg plug and shimano calais loaded with 20lb BB for anything from barra jacks to bass and murray cod an unreal combo I JUST LUV IT!!!! ;D

Shep built me 4-6kg Samurai #5 last year (after I broke my other one - OIE - operator induced error) Been real good on the jacks and barra.
I normally team it up with a calcutta 200 but been using an Abu Eon over the last 3 months and am starting to become partial to it. 30lb whiplash on the Abu and 30lb Bionic on the calcutta - and I still get done.

For the budget minded don't overlook the uglystick 4-6 kg, top it with a ABU c4 series filled with 20 or 30 kg fireline and you have an honest combo that will last for years.
As for a favorite, I have a bullwhip BMP-1551 and Shimano Bantam 10Xsg with 20kg fireline that keeps jumping out of the cuboard wanting to go fishing with me, I'll give you a clue on the vintage of the rod its line weight is 6 to 15 pounds, the Bantam is over 20 years, no fancy bearings here just bushes and with regular maintenance has seen a lot of service and is still going strong, mainly sees use now in gorge country walking the rivers flicking lures for cod.

my favorite would be pacific comps 9wt with fighten grip&system 2 12/13 reel unbalanced ihear you say does not matter one iota with my mad axe man casting style will have to go and see haro one of these days,might give the poor bugger a heart attack if he sees me cast . ;)
