Abu 15-25kg rod okuma 450 what size braid

I have a abu cobolt 15-25 kg rod with roller tip and a okuma 450 classic at the monent it has 30 bl line on it good for trolling but too light to pull coral trout and other reefies out they get back with strech of the line so do I go to braid if so would the guides be up for it I would think so but? what size braid should I use and would the roller tip be ok with braid?
I would like your feed back on this as I don't want to have to go back to hand lines
