Rod building

I'm thinking of trying to build my own surf rod.

Can anybody tell me where in Brisbane I can buy blanks.

Also are there any fishing clubs that run courses on rod building.

you will find a lot of helpful info. at www.rodbuilding.org it's an overseas site but has heaps of stuff for someone starting out as well as the more experienced.

You should be able to buy blanks and all the pieces to build a rod at any of the decent tackle stores around Brisbane. Try Tackle Warehouse, Just Fishing, Mossops or Captain Blighs, all depends which suburb you live in. Clutter.
