This Flathead , commonly called a Lizard due to its appearance, weighed in at just under 5 kilos (10Lb)and was caught trolling a gold Bomber lure in the Logan River, south of Brisbane.
The angler is fishing journalist and fishing radio host Dave Downie.
The fish was tagged and released.
Dave likes to troll the deeper water on the last of the run out and start of the run in. On this day 12 flathead over 60cm were tagged and released.
