My brother-in-law and I went fishing in the Southport seaway on a very rainy Sunday afternoon. We were fishing for tailor with trolled lures to no avail. We decided to put the big deep diving lures on to see if there were any flathead about when I got nailed by something very large. Approx 25 mins later, we had this huge jew beside the 10 foot tender. Being unorganized we had forgotten to bring a landing net or a gaff. The only option left was for Russell to lean over the side of the boat and bear hug the beast into the boat.
